For the first time HSE University has placed among the top twenty universities in countries with emerging economies in the THE Emerging Economies Rankings. Ranking 18^th, HSE now places among the top three Russian universities on the list. Earlier this year, HSE University was the third highest ranking Russian university in the THE World University Rankings.

Associate Professor Svetlana Krivokhizh, one of the founders of the Master's Programme 'Business and Politics in Modern Asia', discusses the reasons for launching the Programme, the success of the programme's first graduating class, and the requirements for programme applicants.

According to a national survey conducted by VCIOM, HSE University ranks fifth in the ‘People’s Ranking of Russian Universities’. A total of 1,600 Russians aged over 18 participated in the survey, which was carried out through phone interviews, relying on a random sample of landline and mobile numbers.

Maria Bakieva, the third-year student of ‘Economics’ educational programme, went to London about half a year ago to study at University College of London. HSE University – Saint Petersburg Summer School offers a wide range of courses corresponding to different students’ interests. Today’s publication of four international subject area rankings in the life sciences, physical sciences, psychology, and medical and health sciences by the Times Higher Education (THE) marks the end of this year’s rankings cycle, which includes the four major world rankings—THE, QS, ARWU, and U.S. News & World Report.

HSE took 94^th place in the THE ranking in Business & Economics, outperforming all the other Russian universities in this subject. In addition, the university entered the ranking in Law for the first time (151+ cohort), becoming the only Russian university represented there.
