'Scientist's Code': Yana Krupets on Proactive Youth, Drawing and AI in Sociology
'Scientist's Code' is a new feature on the university website in which we will introduce you to the scientists of HSE University-St Petersburg, their research, orienting points and hobbies. The first guest is Yana Krupets, Candidate of Social Sciences, Deputy Director of the Centre for Youth Studies and Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology. Over her work at HSE University-St Petersburg, she has been awarded the title of the best professor nine times. We talked to the researcher about what ethical dilemmas AI sets for sociologists, why it is important to study the youth and what drawing gives a researcher.
'Today Was a Very Happy and Nostalgic Day': How the Main Celebration of HSE University-St Petersburg Graduates Went
On June 30, HSE University-St Petersburg gathered almost 5000 guests at KSK 'Arena' for the main event of this summer—graduation 2024. Bachelor's and master's students were congratulated by their friends and family, professors and faculty deans as well as HSE University-St Petersburg trustees. The diplomas of HSE University-St Petersburg were awarded to more than 1400 people, and 280 of them received the diplomas with honours. ‘HSE — Saint Petersburg International Ambassadors’ is a project where HSE University students work with the International Office to promote the university amongst prospective applicants. This competitive selective project is aimed at improving students' communication, leadership ability, and creative skills.
‘I See Numerous Opportunities That HSE University Can Leverage in Indonesia’
In November 2023, a representative office of HSE University opened in Indonesia. This new educational hub is designed to help students from the Asia-Pacific (APAC) who are planning to study in Russia. The representative office is based at Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) in the city of Surabaya. The office is headed by Bima Yatna Anugerah Ramadhani, HSE University-St Petersburg graduate of the Master’s programme ‘Management and Analytics for Business’. 'Joint Background in Political Science and Anthropology Turned Out to Be Invaluably Useful in Studying the Region'
From April 26 to May 7, a team of professors and students from HSE University-St Petersburg conducted a field study in the Indian Himalayas. Student of Art and Design School Arranges Contemporary Art Fair at 'Sevkabel Port'

Expedition to the Himalayas: What To Expect
