Internationalisation is one of the primary goals and values of HSE University-St Petersburg. Our university strives to be part of the international academic community, follow world educational standards, and provide students with ample opportunities. Students of HSE University-St Petersburg have well-developed cross-cultural communication skills thanks to international educational programmes, participation in international academic mobility and double-degree programmes, and daily interaction with students from all over the world.

Pavel Dolgov is a 2016 graduate of the Bachelor's programme 'Sociology'. To continue his education, Pavel chose a double-degree programme at HSE University-Moscow and, while getting his Master's degree, had a chance to study in Holland. Olga Makarova is a lecturer at the School of Economics and Management, HSE University-St Petersburg. In the 90s, she was one of the lucky people who were good at Economics and foreign languages. Thanks to that, for a long time, she was working as a financial executive for such large companies as AT&T, Gillette CIS, Tele2, Pratt & Whitney.
