Leading global business schools actively incorporate case studies into their educational processes, as they are based on real situations faced by companies and the narratives that these companies experience. A case study may focus on one or several subject areas and may include not only the actions of senior management, but also various employees. Case study development is a lengthy and labor-intensive process, yet an increasing number of educators and professors are developing these cases and publishing them in open sources.

On January 25, Russian Students' Day, HSE University-St Petersburg will open a new educational space in the building of the Rope Shop of the Red Nailer factory on Vasilievsky Island. The monument of constructivism, which was designed by the prominent architect Yakov Chernikhov, will become a centre for the development of IT, engineering, design and media communications. Approximately four thousand students will study in the building.
During the new course Accounting 2 as part of the Financial specialization on International Bachelor's in Business and Economics programme students worked on the course project for which they invented a business, described processes and risks of the company, planned events and financial calculations for 2 years, executed accounting transactions and prepared financial statements.
On 9 December, the Swiss technology park Mobahaus hosted a significant event organised by the residents of the technology park together with the School of Economics and Management of the National Research University Higher School of Economics and Management St. Petersburg with the active assistance of Natalia Ursul, Associate Professor and Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Languages. It brought together representatives of diplomacy, business and academic community, as well as students to discuss issues of cross-cultural communication, management under uncertainty and interaction in the global environment.
Maksim Babikov graduated from the programme 'International Business and Management' in 2024. When he was a student, Maksim started actively building his career: he undertook internships in product management and HR spheres and then took an interest in analytics. For a year, the graduate has been working as a risk analyst at 'Alfa-Bank' and continued his education in the Master's programme 'Data Analytics for Business and Economics'. A case championship “Chocolate factory” took place in Higher School of Economics as part of the Master of Finance programme on 27 November. Students were divided into groups in order to solve real tasks on financial analysis and business evaluation.

Guest lecture of one of the largest auditors in Russia – the company Technologies of Trust (TeDo) presented by the partner Alexey Kulikov took place in High school of economics in Saint-Petersburg at 16th of October as part of the International financial reporting standards course. Audit experience of Alexey includes more than 18 years, more than 20 completed engagements, more than 1000 team members.
