The master's programme 'Finance' at HSE University-St Petersburg has confirmed its international accreditation of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) for five years. Now, the programme graduates can skip several exams when joining ACCA. The qualification gives the alumni a competitive advantage when seeking employment in top Russian and international companies for positions related to finance and accounting.
The Master's programme "Finance" (direction 38.04.08 "Finance and Credit") has successfully confirmed accreditation by ACCA for the next 5 years.
A research group of students from the HSE campus in St. Petersburg: Andrey Shirshov and Ekaterina Kukovenko (BP International Business, 4 d year), led by Associate Professor of the Department of Finance, Ph.D. Elizaveta Igorevna Markovskaya studied how the adaptation strategies of Russian small and medium-sized businesses, applied in response to sanctions from the United States and the European Union after the start of the special military operation, influenced the performance of firms in the short-term period.
On March 15, Markovskaya Elizaveta, associate professor of te department of finance, and Kolawole Shola, lecturer of the Department of Management, held an interactive defense of projects in the form of business game within the discipline “Financial Performance Management” (Master’s program “Data Analytics for Business and Economics”) with the participation of invited external experts and practitioners.
On March 17, the New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre hosted the conference about creative industries 'CIBA: Creative industries. Business. Art'. It is a joint project of the students of the Master's programme 'Arts and Culture Management' and the theatre. At the CIBA venue, experts discussed the topic of creative crises in the work of a creator.
From October 2023 to January 2024, students of the Master's programme "Management and Analytics for Business" and "Data Analytics for Business and Economics" implemented a consulting project for the company "Lenta" St. Petersburg.
