On June 30, HSE University-St Petersburg gathered almost 5000 guests at KSK 'Arena' for the main event of this summer—graduation 2024. Bachelor's and master's students were congratulated by their friends and family, professors and faculty deans as well as HSE University-St Petersburg trustees. The diplomas of HSE University-St Petersburg were awarded to more than 1400 people, and 280 of them received the diplomas with honours. Students of the School of Economics and Management took part in the international competition CFA Regional Societies Research Challenge which was held in Abu Dhabi (UAE). At this competition, the team from HSE University-St Petersburg represented Russia and took third place as a result.

Egor Akimov, a graduate of the Bachelor's programme 'International Business and Management', made the start of his career already during his studentship. He was accepted for an internship at 'Ozon', started working in the company and then became a product manager at 'Tinkoff'. To make it easier for students to take first career steps, he created the project 'Alumni Advice' where one can get consultations about work with HSE University-St Petersburg graduates. Alexander Senatorov graduated from the Bachelor's in Economics in 2022. However, he already started his career as an analyst during his student years, first by winning an internship at Ozon Camp and then becoming a junior marketing analyst. HSE University-St Petersburg has held the traditional graduation ceremony for bachelor's and master's students. The 'Arena' event hall hosted more than 5,000 people: graduates and their loved ones, students, lecturers and deans. This year, HSE diplomas were awarded to more than 1,700 students, 295 of whom received honours diplomas. Read on to find out about the highlights of the 2023 graduation ceremony.

The journal Creativity and Innovation Management has published an article on how collaborations between art institutions, artists and commercial brands influence the consumer experience. The co-authors of the article—Alexandra Berezina, Evgeniya Druzhinina (graduates of the Master's programme 'Arts and Culture Management' at HSE University-St Petersburg), and Elena Zelenskaya (Associate Professor of the Department of Management)—share their impressions of working on the paper.

HSE Orientation Week came to an end. It was organised by the Career Centre and the Alumni Community. Within a week, there were 12 meetings at HSE University-St Petersburg in which 40 alumni of the campus and 350 first-years took part. The Master's Programme 'Finance' was established at HSE University - Saint Petersburg in 2009. Since then, the programme has received international EPAS accreditation, established double degree opportunities for its students with other universities, and expanded its cooperation with companies in the finance sector. Graduates of the programme have gone on to work in the Treasury Department of Gazprom Energoholding, perform financial analytics at PepsiCo, and start their own business in Chile.

March 15 is the deadline for nominating candidates for the HSE Alumni Awards, which are given to outstanding alumni of HSE University. This year, the awards will be given in ten categories.
