Already for six months, Ekaterina Khozyainovaа and Elizaveta Chesnokova, 2nd-year students of the Master's programme 'Arts and Culture Management', have been studying in Italy under the double-degree programme with the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart: they immerse themselves in the industry, visit cultural places of Milan (for example, the opera house La Scala), and enjoy the art. In the next academic year, HSE University-St Petersburg will open a new master's programme in Data Analytics for Business and Economics. It utilises the combined experience of two other programmes, creating a symbiosis of the strongest and most in-demand courses. For more than six months, HSE University-St Petersburg students have been studying the attitude of young people aged from 18 to 24 toward luxury brands. Guided by the lecturers of the Master's programme 'Arts and Culture Management', eight Master's students and three Bachelor's students conducted three large stages of research on the young audience: in-depth interview, survey and experiment. In January 2023, the School of Economics and Management opened a new research laboratory: the Centre for Strategic Entrepreneurship, where researchers will examine entrepreneurial activities and strategic management. The new laboratory is headed by Galina Shirokova, Professor at the Department of Management.
The results of the Russian part of the Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students' Survey (GUESSS 2021) have been published. It found that Russian students show interest in entrepreneurship more often and think about starting their own business five years after graduation.
