SEM students realized a consulting project for Lenta company
The project teams developed the following topics:
1. Customer Analytics for Multiformat Retailer Lenta St. Petersburg
2. Analysing Online Sales of Marketplaces for the Multi-Format Retailer Lenta St. Petersburg.
Under the guidance of I.Y. Churakova, a representative of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, and with the active support of N.V. Volkova, the programme director, the Master's students demonstrated the competences acquired in the course of their studies, gained practical experience of interaction with business, as well as solving real applied business problems. I.Y. Churakova has more than 20 years of practical experience in data analytics, accounting and financial statements analysis in world-class companies, such as Pepsi, Gillette, and research experience. The system of project activity support from the university allows to carry out projects with the application of the most relevant methods of data processing and analysis, to get operative consultation and advice, opens new horizons of cooperation with business.
The teams are grateful to Lenta representatives Elena Yamaletdinova, Tatiana Rodionova, Elizaveta Lapina for coordinating project tasks, developing data analytics skills in modern software products and providing feedback to project participants.
The main task of the teams was to work in a professional environment in the company's office, including working with MPSTATS and BIRD programmes, creating reports and presentations of the results of in-depth data analysis. The students demonstrated a high level of proficiency in analytical tools and presentation skills.
