This year, four graduates of the 'Economics' programme earned their degrees in the double degree programme track between HSE University - Saint Petersburg and Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), Barcelona. Both universities evaluated the students' work as excellent. Three programme graduates received particular recognition from UPF.
The next academic year our program will meet not only the new students but also the new colleagues. One of them - András Gál - was already teaching at HSE University — Saint Petersburg in 2018-2019, and now he is coming back from Budapest to St. Petersburg. Among Russian universities, HSE University has the second highest number of subjects to be included in the Shanghai subject ranking (Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2020). HSE University and ITMO University, respectively, are included in 7 subject rankings, while Moscow State University is represented in 12 subject rankings.
The Global Scholarship Competition has become a traditional HSE event for international applicants. GSC winners can get full tuition fee waivers, partial scholarships as well as tuition discounts up to 75%, and are exempt from entrance tests.
HSE University took 31st place in the QS Top 50 Under 50 Ranking, climbing seven places, even in the face of the growing competition in the higher tier of this ranking.
HSE became the leader of this ranking for the first time, outperforming Moscow State University, the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and other Russian universities.
