Registration to participate in the first Model United Nations conference in HSE University -  St. Petersburg (HSEIMUN)  is now open. Our students participate in MUN conferences all around the world in order to obtain valuable experience in world politics and diplomacy.

What happens to our university campus when summer arrives and lectures are over? Does the cafeteria close, and are the tumbleweeds rolling all over the place? This is not the case! Saint Petersburg HSE Summer School 2018 begins, bringing our beloved red brick walls to life.

On March 25-29, Singapore hosted the annual forum of the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE), which has become one of the world's leading platforms for dialogue, exchange of experience and discussion of key trends in higher education.

On March 29th, an HSE Faculty of Law team was the first in Russian history to win the The Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (Vis Moot). It beat the University of Cambridge in the finals, and was the best among 362 university teams from around the globe. The Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot is a model international commercial arbitration court. The competition was held in English at the University of Vienna.

Zhang Siyu is a Master’s student at HSE University – St. Petersburg. Originally from China, Zhang Siyu moved to Kiev, Ukraine as a Bachelor’s student, where she majored in the Russian language. Of course, it then made total sense to continue her education here in Russia. She is now a student in HSE’s 'Experience Economy: Hospitality and Tourism Management' programme. Here are her impressions of the university, the people, and the beautiful city of St. Petersburg.

The debate continues over whether new graduates need more soft skills or more hard skills to succeed, and it should be noted that the debate now addresses competition on the job market, not only between human beings, but between human beings and robots. This hot topic was a focus at the recent Winter School at HSE University – St. Petersburg.

HSE has topped the list of universities in the Russian Academic Excellence Project 5-100 once again, having been ranked in 13 subjects and 3 subject areas in the QS World University Rankings. The university has entered the top 100 in ‘Sociology’ and ‘Political and International Studies’ categories, as well as the top 100 in ‘Social Sciences and Management’.

The Master's programme "Experience Economy: Hospitality and Tourism Management" is considered to be practice-based. It gives students the opportunity to understand and experience the reality of the hospitality and tourism industries.
