School’s Out for Summer!... Wait, Is It?
What happens to our university campus when summer arrives and lectures are over? Does the cafeteria close, and are the tumbleweeds rolling all over the place? This is not the case! Saint Petersburg HSE Summer School 2018 begins, bringing our beloved red brick walls to life.
Why would anyone ever choose to study during the summer break, you might ask?
Firstly, HSE University - St. Petersburg offers unique summer courses that are worth going back to the classroom for. Social and Political Sciences, Cultural and Creative Industries, Business Analytics, Economics and Business, Russian Studies, Data Analysis and History – there are more than 15 courses to choose from. Moreover, there is no need to compromise your passion for Russian foreign politics or your deep appreciation for data analysis: why not take both? Most of our courses last a week, and can easily be combined.
Secondly, the Summer School is a chance to be a part of a unique international community. In addition to an international team of lecturers, HSE Saint Petersburg has welcomed summer students from all over Europe, America, CIS, as well as the BRIC countries. With English being the language of instruction, the Summer School is opened for applicants from all over the world, as well as to local students, who have a fantastic opportunity to practice their English.
Last, but not least: the city of Saint Petersburg is especially exciting and vibrant in these warm summer months. Our students will see the famous canals at the Welcome Dinner, visit the beautiful Peterhof, and explore the city day and night with the help of Erasmus Student Network members.
