HSE University – St. Petersburg and University of Rome Tor Vergata (TVU) have launched two Double Degree Bachelor’s programmes in International Business and Management Studies and Political Science and World Politics. At the International Partners Week dedicated to the 20th anniversary of HSE University in St. Petersburg, Damiano Pinnacchio, the coordinator of International Office of TVU, expressed his hopes that the programme will attract many students from both sides. It is an excellent opportunity for students from both institutions to obtain two diplomas.

Double Degree tracks within the programmes 'Political Science and World Politics' and 'International Business and Management Studies' are an excellent opportunity to get the most out of each field of study and to enjoy an international learning experience. The Double Degree track involves one year of study at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in the third year of studies. The distinctive feature of the TVU curriculum is that the programmes last for 3 years. This means that after the year abroad, the HSE students will be eligible to receive the TVU degree. This is on the proviso that they complete their studies at HSE St.Petersburg, that is, the fourth year of their degree programme (International Business and Management or Political Science and World Politics respectively).

The selection process takes part in the second year of studies both in Rome and St.Petersburg. Students may apply for the double degree programme if they fulfil the following requirements: high academic ranking and GPA, and convincing letter of motivation. Special consideration will be given to those students who have knowledge of Italian.

Students are not required to pay any tuition fees in Rome, however they will have to cover their own travel expenses, accommodation and other programme related costs. The attractive features of the double degree are the opportunities to experience an educational environment of a different kind, to discover a beautiful foreign city and to obtain two degrees. More information about the Double Degree programmes may be obtained by contacting the Academic Director of International Business and Management Studies, Dr.Elena Shakina, and Academic Director of Political Science and World Politics, Dr. Andrei Starodubtsev.
