In 2025, HSE University-St Petersburg opened the Centre for Russian Language and Culture at the School of Arts and Humanities. The centre offers various courses for international applicants, the largest of which is the 'Pre-University Programme', a Russian preparatory course for those intending to enrol in full-time bachelor's and master's programmes. On March 2, an HSE Open Day for prospective undergraduates and specialist students will take place — one of the largest and most significant events for applicants, their parents, and the entire university. Visitors will have the opportunity to speak with students and representatives of educational programmes, plan their admission process, and immerse themselves in the HSE University atmosphere for a day. The event will be held in Russian.

HSE University launches a new competition ‘International Academic Cooperation'. The competition's goal is to strengthen international scientific ties, expand the research agenda, and involve students of all levels in world-class basic research.

HSE University invites submissions of proposals with academic reports for participation in the 25th Yasin (April) International Academic Conference (YIAC). The conference programme, centred on five research themes addressing issues of economic and social development, will retain its interdisciplinary focus and welcome participation from leading scientists in Russia and around the globe. The key events of the 25th Yasin Conference will be taking place in Moscow from April 15 to 18, 2025.

On March 17, the New Stage of Alexandrinsky Theatre will hold CIBA—the conference about creative industries—for the fourth time. It is a joint project of HSE University-St Petersburg students and the New Stage. The central topic of this year is immersion in the nature of creativity and creative crises. Entry to the event is free but registration is required.

On April 6–8, HSE University-St Petersburg will hold the HSE International Model United Nations. Registration is open till March 1. Participation is open to both university and high school students.

This Saturday, on September 16, the Sevkabel Port space located by the Gulf of Finland will host the annual HSE SPB Day. The event will bring together all kinds of people involved in university life: students, graduates, professors, and anyone else who plans to connect their life to HSE University-St Petersburg. The event programme includes open-air dances, a lecture series with invited speakers (including representatives of VK and Sloy), VR quests and much more.
