Professor Boris Gasparov, Head of the Academic Council of the undergraduate programme in Philology, talks about the new programme and what the course is about.

Nadezhda Antonova, HSE graduate in Management, spent a semester in the Netherlands as part of an exchange programme. She shared her impressions and told us about her everyday study life.

HSE St Petersburg has hosted a seminar entitled “Creative spaces: dream or dream solution?”, with the participation of Melanie Post van Ophem, former chair of the Rotterdam Council for Arts and Culture, and Hans Karel Wesseling, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in St Petersburg.

ECOSUD 2015, the 10^th International Conference on Ecosystems and Sustainable Development, has taken place in Valencia. HSE St Petersburg was represented by Tatyana Grishchenko, Assistant Professor at the St Petersburg School of Economics and Management and academic supervisor of its management programme.

Belgian economist Jacques-Francois Thisse is Academic Supervisor at the Center for Market Studies and Spatial Economics at HSE in Saint Petersburg. In an interview with HSE News Service he talked about why he likes Saint Petersburg, what fascinates him about Russia and how disillusion in Marxist ideas led him to studying market economies.

Angi Skhvediani, a fourth-year Management student, recently spent a semester as an exchange student at Audencia Ecole de Management in Nantes. Angi spoke to the HSE News Service about his everyday student life in France.

In 2014 the working group of the Department of History of Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg won the university competition and received institutional support for the international research project 'Comparative Historical Studies of Empire and Nationalism.' The project’s academic director is Ronald Grigor Suny, Charles Tilly Collegiate Professor of Social and Political History, The University of Michigan; Emeritus Professor of Political Science and History, The University of Chicago; Senior Research Fellow, Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg.

On the 16^th of August, CultFest 2014 was held at Tavricheskiy Sad, St Petersburg, organised by the international student organisation AIESEC. In addition to serving as an academic partner for the event, HSE conducted a workshop on international education for visitors and participants.
