The new HSE International Centre for Health Economics, Management and Policy (CHEMP) is seeking to recruit a number of Masters (or advanced Bachelors) students to work or undertake study/research experience within the activities of the research centre. Based in the new Kantemirovskaya building, CHEMP is a multidisciplinary research initiative exploring leading edge issues in the health economy, including: the management of cardiovascular disease; the measurement of health outcomes and experiences; the economics of smoking; the challenges of health reform in a shrinking economy; policies to improve health behaviours; the healthy ageing of the population; and the growing problem of mental illness.
On 8th — 11th June the International Conference on Computational Social Science, organised by the University of Aalto took place in Helsinki, attended by many of the leading lights in this new area of academic research where the meeting between sociology and computer science has the potential to design better societies.
Undergraduate students of the 3rd year and trainee researchers of the Centre for Historical Research from the History Department HSE Saint-Petersburg Oleg Kudinov, Sergey Mikhaylov, Lilya Bolyachevets and Polina Slyusarchuk participated in the International Conference of Students, Graduates and Young Researchers “Lomonosov”. The conference was held from 13 to 17 April in Moscow.
During the XII Germany Week in St. Petersburg, the Gorky House of Scientists under the Russian Academy of Sciences hosted an international research conference ‘Russia and Germany – regional economies after sanctions,’ organized by the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and HSE.
From 14 to 16 October St. Petersburg campus of Higher School of Economics hosted an International Student Forum "Visions of a Wider Europe", organized by the School of Applied Political Studies HSE - St. Petersburg, The Yeltsin Foundation and the International NGO "Dialog-Europe-Russia" (Austria).
St.Petersburg Campus of Higher School of Economics is happy to host International Students' Forum "Visions of a Wider Europe" organized in cooperation with the Yeltsin Foundation and NGO "Dialog Europe Russia". The forum is dedicated to the 20th Anniversary of Russia - WTO negotiations about Russia's accession to the organization and upcoming accedence of our country to OECD.
