On April 20, the conference 'CIBA: Creative Industries. Business. Art' took place. It was organised by students of the Master's programme 'Arts and Culture Management' in cooperation with the New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre. The event was attended by 225 people, and the online broadcast on the VK social network had more than 230,000 views.

The journal Creativity and Innovation Management has published an article on how collaborations between art institutions, artists and commercial brands influence the consumer experience. The co-authors of the article—Alexandra Berezina, Evgeniya Druzhinina (graduates of the Master's programme 'Arts and Culture Management' at HSE University-St Petersburg), and Elena Zelenskaya (Associate Professor of the Department of Management)—share their impressions of working on the paper.

Anastasia Markova is a fourth-year student of the Bachelor's programme 'Design'. During her studies, she has conducted several visual research projects, one of which took third place in the Student Research Paper Competition. Students of the Master's programme 'Business and Politics in Modern Asia' now have the opportunity to study in the programme of Ca' Foscari University ‘Language and Management in China' for a year. On completion of their studies, students will get diplomas of both universities.

The Faculty of Humanities is switching to project-based research and teaching, which includes many new collaborative research endeavours. Kotliarov, Associate Professor of the Department of Finance at HSE - Saint Peterburg, discusses the economic potential of countries in Asia and the Middle East, the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the world economy, and what makes HSE - St. Petersburg so appealing to its many international students.

HSE accepts applications for the annual student research competition. Students of other Russian universities, as well as foreign universities, can participate in it. The papers are accepted in Russian and English, applications can be submitted until October 15.

Specialists of the HSE Centre for Youth Studies met with colleagues from the University of Georgia to discuss prospects for collaboration. They discussed the possibilities for development of academic exchange, summer schools, internships and a ‘Social Analysis of Youth’ track in the Master’s programme ‘Modern Social Analysis’.

Alexandra Malysheva, a graduate student of the HSE St. Petersburg Schools of Physics and Mathematics and Computer Science, received the Ilya Segalovich scientific award. The Expert Council of the award chose her among nearly three hundred young researchers.
