The Higher School of Economics in St Petersburg held a Russo-Swiss Seminar on Perspectives in Academic and Business Cooperation on November 29, 2017.
New Generation of Graduates
Three years ago, according to the new Educational law of Russian Federation, graduate studies became the third level of education. Students who got enrolled in 2014 did not only study with the use of new educational programs, but also passed their final examination conducting a scientific report, as well as presenting a template for a course, a series of lectures or workshop connected to the subject of their study.

International Council Recognizes HSE as Leader in Project 5-100
The Higher School of Economics was recognized as a leader among Project 5-100 universities following a recent session held by the Council on Competitiveness Enhancement of Leading Russian Universities among Global Research and Education Centers. The session took place in Yekaterinburg on October 27-28 and was chaired by Olga Golodets, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.

HSE St.Petersburg Develops Cooperation with Korean Universities
From 17 to 21 of October HSE Saint-Petersburg delegation comprising the director of the university Sergey Kadochnikov and head of the International office Olga Krylova visited South Korea. The official visit was organized by Saint Petersburg committee for science and higher school.
Modern Instruments for Data Analysis
On October 14 the Data Mining in R Workshop was held at St.Petersburg School of Economics and Management. Professor of the Cracow University of Economics Paweł Lula (Department of Computational Systems) introduced participants to the data analysis with the R Project for Statistical Computing software.
Hero of Anti-Apartheid Movement Albie Sachs Visited HSE Saint-Petersburg
On September 27 an outstanding South African lawyer, judge of the Constitutional Court of South Africa (1994-2009) Albert (“Albie”) Sachs gave a lecture called "Forging a Constitution for the New South Africa: from Racism to Equal Rights for All", sharing his experience with the students and academic staff of the HSE.

Georgiy Poltavchenko visited the Higher School of Economics in Saint-Petersburg
On September 27 governor of Saint-Petersburg Georgiy Poltavchenko has paid his first visit to the Higher School of Economics. The meeting took place at the School of Economics and Management – the biggest campus of HSE Saint Petersburg, accommodating five research laboratories of the university.

BRICS Global Business and Innovation
From September 14th – 15th, 2017, the first International BRICS Global Business and Innovation Conference took place at HSE in St. Petersburg. Scholars from all over the world came together to discuss the most pressing issues of global business and innovation in the context of BRICS as a factor of competition and sustainable development in era of growing uncertainty.

HSE St. Petersburg’s First International Alumni Ambassadors
On July 13, 2017, HSE St. Petersburg’s Director, Professor Sergey Kadochnikov held an informal meeting with the campus’ first international alumni who got awarded ambassadorial positions for their contribution to its internationalization agenda.

BA Students Join a Field Trip to Germany
Students of the BA programme in History at the Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg together with the professors of the Department of History went on a field trip to Germany. Students together with Alexander Semyonov, Anton Kotenko and Dietmar Wulff visited Bonn University, Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, and University of Leipzig. The field trip was supported by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). The theme of the trip was 'The Empire in a Global History'.
