QTEM Will Choose Best Students

On October 6 Bruno van Pottelsberghe, chairman and dean of QTEM (Quantitative Techniques for Economics and Management) from Solvay Business School held a presentation at HSE Saint-Petersburg. The HSE campuses in Moscow and Saint Petersburg joined QTEM in March 2017, enabling students to learn new quantitative and analytical skills whilst spending a semester or two in one of the world’s best business schools.

Hero of Anti-Apartheid Movement Albie Sachs Visited HSE Saint-Petersburg

On September 27 an outstanding South African lawyer, judge of the Constitutional Court of South Africa (1994-2009) Albert (“Albie”) Sachs gave a lecture called "Forging a Constitution for the New South Africa: from Racism to Equal Rights for All", sharing his experience with the students and academic staff of the HSE.

On September 27 governor of Saint-Petersburg Georgiy Poltavchenko has paid his first visit to the Higher School of Economics. The meeting took place at the School of Economics and Management – the biggest campus of HSE Saint Petersburg, accommodating five research laboratories of the university.

HSE Improves Position in THE Subject Rankings

The Higher School of Economics has entered the Times Higher Education rankings by subject in two categories, Business & Economics (101-125 group), and Social sciences (176-200 group), showing the best result among schools that participate in Project 5-100 in these areas.

HSE Joins Top-300 of QS Gradua­te Employability Rankings

Higher School of Economics (HSE) has entered the 251-300 group of the QS Graduate Employability Rankings, which aim to reflect the relationship between a university’s activities and subsequent graduate employment. HSE took first place among Project 5-100’s participants and fourth place among 11 Russian universities, thus improving upon last year’s result.

HSE Continues to Rise in THE World University Rankings

In the latest Times Higher Education university rankings, the Higher School of Economics rose to the 351-400 category among 1,102 schools worldwide. This is an improvement on last year, when HSE was in the 401-500 group, with the university ranking fourth among the 27 Russian universities that made it to the ranking.

Art of Doing Business in Asia with Professor Littrell

In September students of the master's program 'State, Society and Economic Development in Modern Asia' will get acquainted with its supervisor Professor Romie Frederick Littrell. Future orientalists will study with him the intricacies of international business, management and the foundations of leadership. Professor’s rich practical experience of doing business in the United States, the Caribbean region and in China, combined with ongoing academic activities, promises that the lessons will be fascinating and extremely useful.
