HSE St Petersburg Fosters an International Education Environment
HSE in St. Petersburg is often warmly referred to as a ‘big family’, so it’s nice that this family is particularly multinational. '1917 - 2017: Revolution and Evolution in Economic Development' is the topic of the Congress that will be held on June 15-17, 2017.
The summer School “The Topography of Imperial Power: The Political and Cultural Space of Saint Petersburg” is opened
Today there took place an opening ceremony of the International Summer School “The Topography of Imperial Power: The Political and Cultural Space of Saint Petersburg”. It was organized by the Department of History, HSE in St. Petersburg.
HSE St. Petersburg Welcomes International Students!
Starting from Monday, August 29, new exchange and full-time international students will arrive on campus within Common Arrival Days that will be followed by Orientation meetings at Kantemirovskaya ulitsa and end up at the magnificent Sibur Arena with the HSE Day 2016 on September 3.

Professor and President
In the end of July it became officially known that the academic supervisor of the International Laboratory of Game Theory and Decision Making, Professor Hervé Moulin, was elected as Vice President of the International Game Theory Society (GTS).
British Humour and Global Politics
Beginning with the 2016-2017 academic year, the undergraduate programme in Political Science at HSE St Petersburg is changing its focus by not only updating the content of the curriculum but also changing the name to Political Science and World Politics, which reflects these substantial changes, but also becoming a truly international in the sense of its teaching staff. Dr Ian Ferguson, a Scottish expert on international relations, will be joining the team of political scientists at HSE St. Petersburg.
In the Conference Network
Tenured HSE Professor Vladimir Matveenko, Associate Professor Alexey Korolev, and undergraduate economics student Anastasia Alfimova, presented the results of their research into network economics at six international conferences this summer.
Practically-oriented approach
David from Ghana and Samrat from India first met at HSE in St. Petersburg, where both are doing their Master studies in Applied and Interdisciplinary History. HSE student Julia Nikolaenko interviewed David and Samrat about their academic background and research, reasons for choosing HSE for master studies and of course about their life in Russia.

Noble Heritage On Public Display at Tsarskoe Selo
The exhibition ‘Kochubey Mansion, A House of Gentlefolk (Home of the Gentry) in Tsarskoe Selo’ has opened at the Tsarskoe Selo museum reserve. The exhibition is a joint project between the museum and HSE St. Petersburg, which has its Executive Management Training Center situated at the Kochubey Mansion. HSE's administration decided to open up its collection of rare artwork to everyone interested in Russian history.
Web Science Summer School 2016
From June 30 to July 6 the Web Science Summer School 2016 was held at the University of Koblenz (Germany). The event was dedicated to the Internet and social media studies. Alina Bakhitova, who is studying Sociology and Social Informatics, took part and shares her impressions of the event.
