Annually, HSE University provides students of Asian and African Studies with opportunities to participate in mobility programmes in the countries of studied languages. Long-term academic mobility helps not only upgrade language proficiency but also dive into a completely different culture and understand it from the inside. Tatiana Shlychkova, student of the Department of Chinese, Southeast and South Asian Research, spent her fourth year of studies in Shanghai, having passed the selection to one of the most high-ranking universities in China—the Fudan University. The scholarship covered tuition and accommodation. In addition, Tatiana received a monthly allowance for personal expenses.

The organisers announced the finalists of the International Video Competition 'WOWMOSCOW' held by the Moscow City Tourism Committee and HSE Art and Design School in the framework of the festival and forum 'Territory of the Future. Moscow 2030'.

Danil Hazigaliev completed the first year of studies in the programme 'International Bachelor’s in Business and Economics'. Thanks to extracurricular events, he mastered the profession of photographer, made new friends, and got an award for the best supporting role. Arina Bykova is a 2020 graduate of the Bachelor's programme 'Sociology and Social Informatics'. Daniyar Rakhimberdinov is a graduate of the School of Economics and Management of 2024. During the four years of the Bachelor's programme, Daniyar spent very vividly: studied artificial intelligence and founded a student club devoted to breakthrough technologies. He set his heart on the dream to establish his own business and started his career path in a large IT company. Daniyar attended a summer school in Italy and joined the Student Council. ‘HSE — Saint Petersburg International Ambassadors’ is a project where HSE University students work with the International Office to promote the university amongst prospective applicants. This competitive selective project is aimed at improving students' communication, leadership ability, and creative skills.

On May 23 in the Presidential Library in St Petersburg, leaders and experts from 23 universities of 15 countries participated in the first day of the International Partners' Days. Apart from the lively discussion about global tendencies in the development of higher education, HSE University has signed partner agreements with the universities of India, Uzbekistan and Oman.

Students of the School of Economics and Management took part in the international competition CFA Regional Societies Research Challenge which was held in Abu Dhabi (UAE). At this competition, the team from HSE University-St Petersburg represented Russia and took third place as a result.
