Maria Kiseleva, Head of the International Office
Participation of the campus in the annual conference of the European Association for International Education (EAIE) allows us not only to meet our current and prospective partners, discuss new projects and plan further steps for the development of the campus' international activities but also follow the modern tendencies in the international arena. Participation in sessions and workshops helps to track the changes in approaches in international education and learn innovative ideas and new trends.
At the conference, we continued to enhance the partnership between HSE University-St Petersburg and universities in Latin America, which started during the large-scale academic missions in December 2023. Thus, we have agreed to strengthen the cooperation with two leading Latin-American universities: Universidad Panamericana (Mexico) and Fundação Dom Cabral (Brazil). Earlier, the parties agreed to start joint educational programmes and courses, foster student and staff exchange and develop research projects.
HSE University-St Petersburg also announced that it was preparing a cooperation programme with Universidad del Desarrollo (Chile) and Sao Paulo State University (Brazil). The partnership agreement with the Chilean university Los Andes will be signed during the second academic mission of HSE University-St Petersburg to Latin America. The Russian delegation will visit the higher education institutions in the region from 13 to 31 October. During the mission, the representatives will visit eight universities in Mexico, Brazil and Chile. Among them are four universities with which HSE University-St Petersburg will start partnerships for the first time.
