In 2025, HSE University-St Petersburg opened the Centre for Russian Language and Culture at the School of Arts and Humanities. The centre offers various courses for international applicants, the largest of which is the 'Pre-University Programme', a Russian preparatory course for those intending to enrol in full-time bachelor's and master's programmes. A famous monument of constructivism—the Rope Shop of the Red Nailer factory—became a new educational building of HSE University-St Petersburg. Approximately four thousand students will study in the building at 25 Liniya Street on Vasilyevsky Island.

On January 25, Russian Students' Day, HSE University-St Petersburg will open a new educational space in the building of the Rope Shop of the Red Nailer factory on Vasilievsky Island. The monument of constructivism, which was designed by the prominent architect Yakov Chernikhov, will become a centre for the development of IT, engineering, design and media communications. Approximately four thousand students will study in the building.

In December, a delegation from HSE University, led by Rector Nikita Anisimov, visited Japan to strengthen educational and scientific cooperation. Representatives from HSE University met with the leaders of prominent institutions in Russian studies, including Tokai University, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Hosei University, and Keio University. The visit, initiated at the invitation of the Japanese Ambassador to Russia, marked the first official visit by a delegation from a Russian university to Japan since 2022.
