Life Beyond Campus: Trip to Scandinavia With Russian Soul
On the 14th of November, HSE – St Petersburg students visited one of the pearls of Northwest Russia – a small, still instantly picturesque medieval town called Vyborg. Together with the Erasmus Students Network (ESN) team we travelled hundreds of years back in time, saw a real European knight’s castle (yeah, the one with granite walls, a tower, and not built for tourists!), a market square, a town hall, walked narrow cobblestone streets, explored hiking routes and enjoyed a romantic moonlight stroll in the famous English garden Mon Repos.

HSE University School of Art and Design in St. Petersburg and ‘Manege’ Open a Joint Exhibition
On August 14, the ‘Thirty Three Characters’ project, which was created by the HSE University School of Art and Design in St. Petersburg in partnerships with the ARKI Creative Workshop, will open at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall in St. Petersburg. The project combines a series of outdoor installations dedicated to the Cyrillic alphabet.

On October 11-12, the HSE University - St Petersburg campus hosted the first ever international Kochubey Readings, devoted to the study of private collections in Russia and around the world. The conference took place under the patronage of the Kochubey family, members of which travelled to Russia from France, Belgium, and the U.S.
Happy 21st Academic Year: Short Story of Growth and Expansion
Last week at HSE University – St. Petersburg turned out to be really eventful. First of all, we finally met our international freshmen, or at least most of them. The orientation sessions, followed by the Common Arrival Days, offered a chance to get acquainted with people, resources and processes. Secondly, we celebrated HSE SPb Day devoted to the anniversary of the campus – it has turned twenty this year! During these years we have been dreaming about many things, but who doesn’t when they are young.
