Two HSE Students Win Prizes at Russia’s First Ever Arabic Language Competition

On December 13, Russia’s first ever Arabic Language Competition took place in Moscow with the support of the Qatar Embassy. Three students – two from HSE and one from MGIMO – won one-year scholarships at Qatar University for next year.

HSE Academic Council Approves Tuition Fees for 2019/2020

HSE University – St Petersburg undertakes admissions to 12 undergraduate programmes and 17 graduate programmes. The annual tuition fees start from 270,000 rubles ($4,040) and 230,000 rubles ($3,440), respectively.

Two HSE Teams Confirmed as ICPC Finalists

On December 1st and 2nd, the semifinals of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) for teams from the Northern Eurasia region were held. HSE teams from St. Petersburg (8th place) and the Moscow-based Faculty of Computer Science (13th place) received first class certificates. Furthermore, the teams will represent HSE at the finals, which will be held in Portugal next year.

Elena Kochetkova Receives an Award of the Estonian Institute of Historical Memory

Elena Kochetkova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of History and a Research Fellow at the Laboratory for Environmental and Technological History, has received a prize for the best research on socialism awarded by the Estonian Institute of Historical Memory. Researchers from 13 countries participated in the competition.
