Semester at HSE University Saint-Petersburg
While working hard on building a truly international university at HSE University St. Petersburg, we have established partnerships with some excellent universities abroad.
Your univesity is not a HSE partner or you are not connected to any particular university yet? HSE University St. Petersburg is happy to welcome you too, if you keen to study with us.
Your interest in spending one or two semesters as an exchange student from one of HSE University Saint-Petersburg partner universities or a as free-mover is highly appreciated.
We will make every effort to help you achieve your professional goals, expand your horizons and gain the experience which will make you stand out from the crowd.

Please apply to the International Office of your home university, stating your interest in studying with us. International mobility coordinators at your home university will provide you with detailed information on how your institution can support your application to study at our university.
Study as Free-Mover
If you want to study with HSE University Saint-Petersburg as a free-mover, please contact us by the following email: firstname.lastname@example.org stating your interest to study with us. We will provide you with the nesessary information and nswer any questions you may have.
Tuition & Fees
For students nominated by HSE University Saint-Petersburg partner universities study as tuition fee waivers.
For free-mover each course is charged at a rate of 6000 rubles per 1 ECTS. E.g., a 4 ECTS course costs 24 000 rubles. We expect free-mover students take 15 ECTS per semester minimum.

Please note that our nomination deadline is 15 May for the Fall semester, and 15 October for the Spring semester.
However, if you have missed the deadline, please contact us and we will see what can be done (but please bear in mind that obtaining a Russian study visa may take up to 1 month).
As an international student at HSE University St. Petersburg, you will be able to choose from a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses taught in English. If you are fluent in Russian, you will also have access to courses taught in Russian.
Courses typically last 2-3 months, although there are a few courses (consisting of 6 ECTS) that last 4–6 months.
The majority of courses are taught by HSE faculty, with several courses taught by international staff. We support diversity in our university and firmly believe in the unique value of international and intercultural learning. Time spent studying abroad will pay dividends in making you more competitive in the job market and providing access to international research opportunities. You will gain insights not only from your classes but through interacting with HSE students (including through the Erasmus Student Network HSE St. Petersburg and by participating in Student Life activities).
