On November 9, the building at Kantemirovskaya Street hosted the Pakistani Culture Night. The event gathered more than 80 people, including the students and alumni of St Petersburg universities as well as Raja Qadeer Ahmed, the representative of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The initiator and the mind behind this event was Syed Junaid Abbas, international student of HSE University-St Petersburg.

In the framework of the mission to Latin America, the delegation from HSE University-St Petersburg visited Chile. The university representatives met Vladimir Belinsky, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Chile, took part in the fair 'Education in Russia: Studies without Limits' in Santiago organised by the Russian House and visited the University of Concepción where they discussed possible research projects and directions for further cooperation.

In the framework of the academic mission to Latin America, HSE University-St Petersburg has negotiated to launch joint projects with leading Brazilian universities. Thus, with the University of São Paulo, the first in the QS ranking among Brazilian universities, HSE plans to carry out joint research aimed at supporting biodiversity, developing biotechnologies and solving ecological and social issues. The project also involves students and staff mobility for mutual exchange of knowledge and experience.

In the framework of the academic mission to Latin America, the delegation from HSE University-St Petersburg headed by director Anna Tyshetskaya visited several universities in Mexico. During this trip, HSE signed cooperation agreements with two leading universities: Panamerican University and Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP).
