The tenth annual international conference October Readings - 2021 will be held from October 21 to 23. Here is more about the programme.

On September 21, 2021, a delegation from an accredited Business School of Rennes (France) visited HSE campus in Saint Petersburg to sign a partnership agreement and discuss future plans for international academic mobility and exchange programmes. On September 24, Dr. Thomas Flichy de La Neuville, Head of the Master's Program in Geopolitics and Business, met with the first-year students of the Master's program in Business and Politics Modern Asia at the Higher School of Economics.

As part of the Basic Research Support Program, the Center for Youth Studies, the Laboratory for Comparative Social Research, and the International Laboratory for Social and Cognitive Informatics have opened a competition for research interns.

The Academic Supervisor of the Master's Programme 'Comparative Politics of Eurasia', Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science and International Relations, Oleg Korneev will take part in the implementation of the Jean Monnet project 'Shifts in the EU Area of ​​Freedom, Security and Justice: Multi-Dimensional Analysis' (EUSHIFT).

On December 16, Professor Laure Delcour will give a lecture, which will open the cycle of lectures organized by the MA programme «Comparative Politics of Eurasia».

The discussion of diversity and equality is hardly possible without touching upon these issues in the framework of diverse social groups. During IDC 2020 one of the panels is dedicated to youth studies – how these notions are present in the culture and environment of the younger generation. Yana Krupets – one of the moderators of the panel, the deputy director of the Center for Youth Studies at HSE St. Petersburg, and an associate professor at the Department of sociology shared the complexity and sensitivity of this field of research and plans for the Conference.

Liudmila Veselova, Associate Professor at HSE — St. Petersburg, academic supervisor of the graduate programme 'Business and Politics in Modern Asia', and the moderator of the panel session 'University Education in China and Future Employment of Graduates: Opportunities and Challenges', explains the importance of this topic and discusses the upcoming the Conference on Inequality and Diversity.

Professor Aleksey A. Maslov, a well-known sinologist and director of the Institute for Far Eastern Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, heads the Academic Council of the master’s programme ‘Business and Politics in Modern Asia’.
