On November 4, the International Science Fiction Symposium 'Inventing the Future' started in Moscow at the Russia National Centre. Guests and experts discussed what humanity will be like in several decades in the rapidly changing global space. Professors from HSE University-St Petersburg were guest speakers at the symposium.

On November 19, HSE University-St Petersburg and other Russian universities celebrate the Day of Higher School Professors. To commemorate the occasion, we talked to Yury Kabanov, whom the students chose as the best professor eight times over his ten-year career at HSE University. In the interview, the professor explains how to stay a good professor, why one should deliver lectures at schools, and why it is hard to give students grades.

The Centre for Youth Studies at HSE University-St Petersburg has held the International Research Conference 'Agency and Sustainability of Youth in the Age of Global Challenges'. More than 100 researchers from Russia, India, Argentina, and Brazil discussed the adaptation of young employees in the labour market, the influence of digitalisation on the youth's lives, the role of youth culture in the city, and other issues. The article outlines the highlights of the conference and its results.
