Last week, the results of the competition for double degree programs became known. Four 1st-year students of the Comparative Politics of Eurasia program won the opportunity to spend the next academic year at the partner university of the program and receive two diplomas at the end of their studies - the HSE in St. Petersburgand and the University of Trento. 
We talked to the winners of the competition and found out what they expect from studying in Italy.

Daniil Kornev is a 2022 graduate of the Bachelor’s programme 'Political Science and World Politics'. Now, he is studying in the campus master's programme in UX-analytics and working at a gamedev company as a head of data analysis direction. We talked to Daniil about how programming helped political scientists, which thesis topic could help you find a career to your liking and how computer games were related to political science.

Victoria Sharonova is a second-year student of the Master's programme 'Modern Social Analysis'. She is combining work and studies and recently moved to Italy under the double-degree programme between HSE University-St Petersburg and the University of Trento. In her interview, Victoria speaks about the admissions process, difficulties with accommodation and food, and the peculiarities of studying in Italy.

Anatolie Cecalenco was born in the Republic of Moldova and entered the Bachelor's programme 'Political Science' at HSE University. Then, he continued his education on the Master's programme 'Business and Politics in Modern Asia' at HSE University-St Petersburg. Currently, Anatolie is a PhD student and a lecturer at the campus. He also works as an ESG specialist for the company Business Solutions and Technology (which formerly operated in Russia as Deloitte). We talked to the PhD student about his studies and work.

Under an agreement between HSE University-St Petersburg and the University of Trento (UniTrento), students of the Master’s programme 'Modern Social Analysis' can participate in a double degree track. Cecilia Brazioli, from Italy, is a participant of the track who shared her impressions of studying in Russia.

Alexandra Polosukhina, manager of Career Centre, talked to Liudmila Veselova, Academic Supervisor of the Master's programme ‘Business and Politics in Modern Asia’, about the employment of the graduated sinologists.

On May 24, Valery Falkov, minister of science and higher education of the Russian Federation, announced that Russia would quit the Bologna System. After that, there started an intense public discussion about the essence of this system and its influence on the current and prospective students. Andrey Starodubtsev, Academic Supervisor of the Master’s programme ‘Comparative Politics of Eurasia’, explains the basic principles of this system with examples and tells why the students who are interested in academic career should not panic

In the previous interview with the programme's Academic Supervisor we mentioned a promising academic collaboration between HSE University – Saint Petersburg and the University of Milan.
