In November 2025, students from the Master's program 'International Business in the Asia-Pacific Region' at HSE University – St Petersburg took part in an off-site educational session at the office of Evercode Lab, a leading Russian IT firm renowned for its work with international teams and clients. 

Students of the Master's Programme "International Business in the Asia-Pacific Region" participated in the international tourism forum "Travel Hub 2025" in St. Petersburg from December 11 to 13, 2025, as part of their study of the "Place Branding" course developed by Ekaterina Shekova, Associate Professor of the Management Department.

We extend our sincere thanks to VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) and the Faculty of Finance and Banking for the invitation and warm reception. It was an honor for the Department of Finance, HSE University – St Petersburg, to deliver an open lecture to your students and colleagues. We deeply value this partnership and look forward to further strengthening our collaboration in teaching and research.

Boris Lodiagin and Olga Alekseeva delivered an open lecture for students and faculty of UEB’s Faculty of Finance and Banking titled “Capital Raising for Businesses in Russia: Lessons for Vietnam.” The session was highly practice-oriented: the speakers walked through real cases from Russian companies and demonstrated how to choose an optimal capital structure for different growth objectives.

With warm thanks to our Brazilian partners at São Paulo State University (UNESP): Prof. Dr. Cleginaldo Pereira de Carvalho, his coordination team, and the UNESP students for their openness, discipline, and high standards throughout the project.

Two months moved in a steady rhythm: short weekly sprints, evening calls across three–four time zones, shared folders for working documents, and clear roadmaps with check-points. Teams aligned data into a common format, agreed on terminology, and recorded decisions — step by step building a single picture everyone could work from.

“Top level of complexity” is what we know about the derivative financial instruments and what our students can now do!

On October 4, 2025, Daria Kotova, Executive Director of the “Yasnaya Polyana” Space, gave a guest lecture as a part of the course "Creative Place Branding”. Daria described the brand concept, the choice of the name for the space, the target audience of the brand, and the specifics of coworking space promotion in the St. Petersburg market. 

Yury Burchanov, student of the master's programme 'Finance', studies credit risk modeling in modern financial markets. He presented his research at the Royal Statistical Society International Conference.

The main celebration of the new academic year will take place very soon: we invite all first-years and friends of the university to HSE SPB Day at Sevkabel Port on September 13. The event combines an educational programme and recreational activities.

From September 1 to October 1, HSE University–St Petersburg students will be able to apply for exchange studies at international universities in the 2026 spring semester. There are more than 40 universities available in 20 countries, from Armenia to Mexico.

As a part of the study project “Development of marketing and PR strategy for the DOC ART GALLERY”, implemented with the participation of students of the Master's Programme “Arts and Culture Management” under the supervision of the Associate Professor of the Management Department Ekaterina Leonidovna Shekova, a series of events was held to promote the DOC ART GALLERY in the art market of St. Petersburg and to increase the gallery attendance.
