Students from the Master's program 'International Business in the Asia-Pacific Region' engaged with Evercode Lab representatives as part of a hands-on project in the course 'HR Management in International Companies'.

The visit formed a key element of a practical project assignment within the discipline HR Management in International Companies, conducted through direct interaction with industry. During the session, students explored the evolution of HR systems in a fast-paced global IT environment, delving into the transformation of HR functions amid external disruptions, the role of intercultural communication, and contemporary approaches to managing distributed teams. HR department representatives shared real-world case studies and insights into innovative tools that have underpinned the company's dynamic growth in recent years.
Students praised the program’s intensity and the company's remarkable openness, with the gathered insights set to inform their final analytical reports, due for presentation in December as part of the course's concluding sessions. For many participants—including international students—this company visit offered a invaluable opportunity not only to apply theoretical knowledge but also to gain a deeper understanding of HR management nuances in a Russian business with a strong international orientation.
Polina Romanovna Shakhamanova, a student on the program
'It was particularly valuable to hear first-hand how the company tackles challenges by tailoring its HR solutions to an intercultural context. Such encounters transform learning from abstract theory into a vibrant dialogue with inspiring professionals at the top of their field.'
Igor G. Borisov, PhD, course instructor
'Having mastered the theoretical foundations, students proceed to analyze how real companies have reshaped their HR processes in recent years and how they plan to build resilient talent management models for the near future. These visits enable them not just to peer inside HR operations but to examine the evolving role of HRM amid today's technological shifts. Direct engagement with business leaders provides an irreplaceable experience far beyond what textbooks can offer.'
The session was made possible through the program’s fruitful collaboration with HSE's Career Development Centre, which actively fosters university-industry partnerships to weave real-world business expertise into the curriculum.
Marina V. Matetskaya, PhD, Academic Supervisor of the program
'Our program consistently attracts bright, ambitious students with exacting standards. With around half being international, it cultivates an intercultural milieu that mirrors global business exchanges. Visits to internationally oriented firms reinforce this ethos: we aim for our graduates to emerge as ready professionals who grasp the inner logic of global business decisions.'
