At HSE University-St Petersburg, professors pay a lot of attention to the practical training of students. Thanks to it, students are able to build their careers in the companies of their dreams starting from the first years of their studies. HSE SPB Day has been held at Sevkabel Port in the open air. HSE students were congratulated on the beginning of the academic year by the trustees, faculty deans, and the rousing HSE Dance Club. The first-years had an initiation ceremony, participated in activities from student clubs, and danced to popular songs on the Gulf of Finland. They received well wishes from the professors, representatives of large companies and, of course, student organisations. This year, first-year students of the International Bachelor’s in Business and Economics will be divided into three educational cohorts according to their level of mathematical training. This will help winners of olympiads, applicants with high points, and graduates of specialised schools to continue to develop their skills, while helping other students to more easily adapt to the training schedule.
