From May 18 to 22, HSE University-St Petersburg will become the centre for global academic dialogue.The International Partners' Week will bring together more than 100 delegates from 47 universities and 20 countries.

HSE University-St Petersburg opened a representative office of the Satellite Laboratory on Social Entrepreneurship at the University of Campinas in Brazil. The platform is going to unite research and educational projects in the spheres of sustainable development, communications and social innovations.

Leonid Issaev, professor of the Department of Political Science and International Affairs at the School of Social Sciences at HSE University-St Petersburg, was awarded the Order of Burkina Faso. The state award is given for the contribution to the development of Russian-Burkinabe relations in the sphere of culture and education.

Elena Kudriavtseva, Associate Professor of the Department of Media at HSE University-St Petersburg, spoke at the Intercontinental Psychological Congress HOMINIS-2026 in Cuba. Her report focused on the correlation between the difficulty of a user's text and their ability not to give in to the patterns imposed by the Internet.

HSE University-St Petersburg hosted the African Festival. The Rope Shop Educational Space welcomed guests from Morocco, Nigeria, Egypt, Cameroon, Ghana and other countries. During a panel discussion, representatives of businesses and leading St Petersburg universities discussed ways to enhance relations between Russia and Africa, while international students shared stories of their career success.

HSE University–St Petersburg and UPES University (India) held a joint summer school for students and researchers on the influence of international organisations on environmental regulation policy in Russia and India. HSE University–St Petersburg was represented by Aleksei Sorbale, academic supervisor of the Bachelor's programmes 'Political Science and World Politics' and 'Data Analytics for Politics and Society.'
