Each year, hundreds of students from all over the world decide to pursue knowledge at HSE University- St Petersburg. Extracurricular life becomes an integral part of students’ experience, allowing them to delve deeper into the culture of the host country, make new friends, and uncover their talents. HSE University launches a new competition ‘International Academic Cooperation'. The competition's goal is to strengthen international scientific ties, expand the research agenda, and involve students of all levels in world-class basic research.

A delegation from HSE University-St Petersburg headed by Director Anna Tyshetskaya has paid a working visit to Oman. One of the main items on the itinerary was negotiations with Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, the Minister of Higher Education of Oman, on key areas of cooperation and the organisation of exchange programmes for HSE students and faculty.

HSE University has been awarded ‘Gold’ status in the Times Higher Education (THE) Online Learning Rankings 2024 alongside 10 other global universities. A new subset of the Times Higher Education World Rankings, the Online Learning Rankings (OLR) are focused on global universities that develop online education.

In 2024, scientists from HSE University-St Petersburg went on two expeditions in the Indian Himalayas.
