Second-year students of the Master Programme “Business and Politics in Modern Asia” are required to take an internship. When choosing the place for it, special attention is paid to the needs of students and further career plans.

In this learning module, in frame of the Mentor Seminars the MA Programme “Business and Politics in Modern Asia” hosts expert meetings for students from both learning trajectories.

On September 21, 2021, a delegation from an accredited Business School of Rennes (France) visited HSE campus in Saint Petersburg to sign a partnership agreement and discuss future plans for international academic mobility and exchange programmes. On September 24, Dr. Thomas Flichy de La Neuville, Head of the Master's Program in Geopolitics and Business, met with the first-year students of the Master's program in Business and Politics Modern Asia at the Higher School of Economics.

Professor Aleksey A. Maslov, a well-known sinologist and director of the Institute for Far Eastern Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, heads the Academic Council of the master’s programme ‘Business and Politics in Modern Asia’. He is directly involved in the formation of the concept of the program and its development. We asked Alexey Maslovabout modern oriental studies and the prospects for graduates in this sphere.

The agreement on the development of a double degree programme between the HSE master's programme 'Business and Politics in Modern Asia' and the University of Ca’ Foscari Master's programme in 'Language and Management in China' is successfully signed.

Anna Poberezhnaya, the 1^st year student of the Master’s Programme ‘Business and Politics in Modern Asia’, took part in a voluntary workcamp project in Japan. Anna and her volunteer mates were helping the people affected by an earthquake and tsunami in 2011, to become a part of the communitey of the cite they were moved to. Anna gave a little interview to Programme students and told which skills are required for volunteers in an East Asian country and what of experience did she get there.
