HSE University students have taken part in the ‘Uzbekistan—Land of Tolerance’ International Summer School. The event was held in July in Tashkent at the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan, a partner of HSE University. The HSE University students shared their impressions of the local sights and hospitality.

Under an agreement between HSE University-St Petersburg and the University of Trento (UniTrento), students of the Master’s programme 'Modern Social Analysis' can participate in a double degree track. Cecilia Brazioli, from Italy, is a participant of the track who shared her impressions of studying in Russia.
Anna Kostrova is a fourth-year student enrolled in the 'Sociology and Social Informatics' programme. In the autumn of 2021, she left for Masaryk University in Czech Republic under a student mobility programme. On 22-23 October, MGIMO University held the 1-st international forum “Russia-Africa: what next?”. Second-year students of “Comparative politics of Eurasia” programme Mikhail Grechishnikov and Mir-Ali Askerov participated in the conference and shared their experience.
Having earned degrees in International Relations and Energy, Tulio Bunder from Brazil wanted to pursue his research in Eurasian Energy Geopolitics, which led him to the Master's programme in Comparative Politics of Eurasia. Though based in another BRICS country, he decided to study in Russia—and despite the challenges posed by the pandemic and his long-distance relationship with Saint Petersburg and HSE University, he seems happy with his choice.
Anna Shabanova, a first-year student of the Master's programme 'Comparative Politics of Eurasia', has received funding from the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) for participating in a virtual summer school dedicated to political research methodology. Taking part in summer and winter schools of various international organisations is an auxiliary facility to deepen methodological and research skills.

Department of Political Science and International Relations, HSE St Petersburg in association with the Laboratory for Comparative Social Research and International Political Science Association announce the 4th installment of IPSA – HSE Summer School for Methods of Political & Social Research. The School will be held online from August 9 to August 22, 2021.
