
HSE Rises 50 Places in THE Social Sciences Ranking and Maintains Position in Business and Economics
HSE has improved its position in two Times Higher Education (THE) rankings compared to last year. The university demonstrated the greatest growth in the Social Sciences category, rising from the 175-200 group to 126-150. Additionally, HSE improved within the 101-125 group of the Business and Economics ranking.

HSE Comes in 37th in QS BRICS Ranking
Academic excellence projects, similar to Russia’s Project 5-100, are common in many countries, but BRICS countries typically have the largest number of universities participating in such projects. Perhaps that is why the ranking of the top universities in the five BRICS countries – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, prepared by the QS ranking agency, is of particular interest. For two years in a row, 10 Russian universities are steadily entering the top 50 of this ranking. This time, HSE has taken 37 place, improving its result on last year.

HSE Maintains Position in Top-300 of QS Graduate Employability Rankings
The QS Graduate Employability Rankings has published a list of the Top-500 universities in the world in terms ofgraduate employability outcomes and prospects.

HSE at the Top of RAEX Ranking
The Higher School of Economics has been ranked second following Lomonosov Moscow State University in ‘Economics and Management’ category. In ‘Humanities and Social Sciences’ HSE came fourth, while in ‘Mathematics and Natural Sciences’ the university is in the 8th place, having moved up from the 9th place last year.

HSE Ranks 7th in THE Ranking of Leading Research Universities in Eurasia
HSE has ranked 7th amongst universities in Eurasia. The ranking has been compiled for the first time by Times Higher Education and is presented by Kazan Federal University.
HSE – St. Petersburg in Top 5: University for Future Leaders
HSE University St. Petersburg is fourth in a ranking of St. Petersburg universities which train the most promising students. This ranking, which was timed to coincide with the new academic year, has been compiled by the Future Leaders Foundation.

HSE Enters ARWU Ranking for the First Time
The Higher School of Economics has entered the Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) for the first time. The ranking is known for its strict selection criteria. This year, 12 Russian universities, including 10 participants of Project 5-100, entered the ranking. Until 2016, only 2 representatives of Russia were included- MSU and St. Petersburg State University.

HSE has climbed almost 40 places in the QS World University Rankings and now occupies 343rd place among the world's best universities. This is thanks to a significant improvement in its academic reputation and the employers' assessment of university graduates.
