Main Courses Description


Aim of the course


1th  semester

General Management

As one of the title modules of the programme it covers key aspects of strategic management both from conceptual and practical perspective. Students are provided with opportunity to observe and assess the management activities. This course, moreover, provides concrete framework for implementing the strategic management tools and methods.

Business Research Methods

The module aims to enable students to carry out their individual projects as well as contribute to collective research. The module «Business research methods» covers the most relevant issues of a research process that might be valuable for students. The key idea of the course is to provide insights into philosophy and basics of pure academic as well as applied studies in management and economics. The module is designed to provide students with knowledge, skills, positive values and competencies to solve non-trivial problems and creative tasks in the frame of business studies.

International Business and Global Strategies

The course addresses management issues faced by multinational companies caused by complexity of operating across borders. As the rapidly changing world becomes a more complex place to operate internationally it is necessary to empower students with a hands-on experience to identify and take advantage of global business opportunities.

Financial management

The key aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge and skills in taking corporate financial and investment decisions, develop analytic instruments to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of such decisions, elaborate models of corporate financial management.


2th semester

Statistical Approaches to Data Analysis

This course provides a necessary background for applied statistical analysis. It covers topics in probability, distributions, estimations and regressions and Bayesian analysis. By the end of this course, students should know how to do simple statistical analysis in Excel, R, and Stata

Practical Machine Learning Methods for Data Mining

During this practically oriented data science module students will learn how machine learning uses computers to run predictive models. The main principal is to explore existing data to build new knowledge, forecast future behaviour, anticipate outcomes and trends. Explore theory and practice, and work with tools like R, Python, and Azure Machine Learning to solve advanced data science problems.

Knowledge and Information management

This course provides an overview of solutions for automation in business. It covers such topics as ERP, Data analysis automation: Big Data, the Internet of Things etc.


3d semester. People Analytics Module

Prediction of Performance & Prescription of Policy

Use analytics to find the best way from big data to the increase of the value of the Human Resources. Use structured and unstructured data to first describe, then predict and finally prescribe the best policies on Human Resources.

Staffing Analytics Overview

Understand the basics of the staffing process including hiring the right persons, placing them in the right position and developing the strategies to keep the key employees.

Performance Evaluation

Create the ability to develop a true performance management that include the right tools to describe each employee performance individually and as part of an organization. Use data to create the right system of incentives and achievable goals that create value for the company.

Talent Analytics

Use data on talent to measure and improve ROI on HR initiatives in companies. Analyze talent in the organization to drive business value through the HR.


3d semester. Customer Analytics Module

Consumer Behaviour

The course explores the conceptual foundations of consumer behavior. It also gives an overview of a state-of-the-art consumer analysis and analytics and demonstrates its practical value.  

Database Marketing and Analytical CRM

The course investigates the use of tools and techniques from data analytics and demonstrates how it can be applied in the business context of customer relationship management.

Advanced Marketing Models

This course aims at acquaintingstudents with a variety of developed marketing decision models and helps them to develop the skill of applying advanced analytical techniques to improve upon the managerial decision makings process.

Advanced Marketing Models

This course focuses on various aspects related to web analytics - data collection, analysis of social media and text using specific software, and interpretation of obtained results.
