Guest lectures are important part of the study process in the HSE
This Friday, as part of the Digital Business Transformation course taught by Prof. Khazieva Natalia, was held a guest lecture by HSE partner - Geropharm company. The guest speaker was Yulia Chernyaeva, Head of Quality Systems Department, Corporate Quality Department of GEROPHARM. The lecture was dedicated to the challenges faced by the company and how digitalization managed to solve them. Julia told about three cases: 2 successful and 1 unsuccessful. Interestingly, even from an unsuccessful case, the company has learned a lot. A pharmaceutical company that conducts a large number of tests is required to record all stages of the experiments, which was previously implemented by hand-writing in journals, as well as manually entering into the archive. With the purchase of equipment and modern software, the company was able to significantly reduce manual work, which not only made the work of employees easier, but also virtually eliminated errors that could occur when recording results manually. Talking about each case, Julia emphasized that the most difficult thing was to convince employees who had been working in the old way for many years to learn new programs, master the software and switch to an electronic reporting system.
Guest lectures are an important part of the learning process at HSE, as the purpose of the MA program is not only to provide theoretical knowledge, but also to show the realities of business, to introduce experts and practitioners.
