Programme Overview
International Business in the Asia-Pacific Region programme is designed to prepare a new generation of managers, who know how to answer the growing challenges of the global economy and successfully navigate international markets. The programme combines traditional courses with practically oriented tasks, as well as encourages the students to be engaged in project and research activities.
The programme is opened to everyone who is:
- an alumnus of both specialized areas of training (Economics, Management), as well as non-core areas of bachelor's training (including international relations, engineering, computers sciences and others),
- a bachelor graduate who wants to receive a quality education in international business, as well as international experience of study abroad and an internship in a well-established Russian or international company,
- looking for an opportunity to get the skills important in the international sphere at the age of global challenges and business digitalization,
- looking for the skills to create and lead effective teams in a multicultural environment.
In addition to the general training, which is compulsory for all students of the programme, there is an opportunity to choose between two options for individual study tracks: practically oriented track “International Business Operations” (IBO) and research oriented track “Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Global Markets” (EIGM). The IBO track offers comprehensive training on global procurement and supply chain management, as well as touches on important general issues related to the operations of international companies. The EIGM track is focused on entrepreneurship in global markets and understanding of how companies develop their strategies and gain competitive advantages in the international arena.
The program offers business internships for all students, where they can get professional experience and learn in practice the important aspects of business operations. The internship depends on the chosen focus of the project or research activities and may be organized in different business partners of the university.
All programme students have ample opportunities to participate in academic mobility programmes offered by the university and spend one semester or a shorter period in one of the HSE international partner universities.
