Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course gives a general introduction to the fields of law which are relevant in Arts, Culture and Creative Industries (ACCI). The course seeks to place the law in the context of ACCI and map the related legal objectives. The focus is laid upon the concept of intellectual property, its legislation and principles. The course also provides a brief overview of the Russian legal system, Fundamentals of contract law and main aspects of governance of ACCI. They include various types of cooperation between legal entities related to ACCI as well as exhibition and digital activity of cultural institutes and etc. The course familiarises students with appropriate legal principles, terminology and concepts, and will be useful for students that have intent to choose a career path in ACCI.

  • Acquaint students with the legal principles, terminology and concepts related to ACCI
  • Develop students' skills in a legal analysis of the problems concerning everyday matters of ACCI management
  • Acquire students' skills to present legally appropriate solutions to various challenges related to the ACCI
