Double degree track

HSE University in St. Petersburg and Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore - UCSC) have entered into an agreement on a double degree track for the master's program «Arts and Culture Management». The best students will be able to spend the second year of study in Italy and receive master's degrees from two universities at once. The double degree track will be implemented in conjunction with the Master's program «Methods and Topics in Arts Management».

Within the framework of the double degree track, «Arts and Culture Management» students will be able to undertake an internship at Italian art institutions. They will also have the opportunity to interact with experts and managers of Italian theaters, museums, art auctions, art funds and other art institutions. Students will gain experience of working in an international environment and interacting with foreign art institutions. They will better understand how the foreign art market functions. Graduates will also be able to take courses such as “Urban Cultural Study” and “Performing and Visual Arts System”, which will be beneficial to careers in art management. Upon successful defense of the final qualifying work, students will receive a master's degree from the HSE University and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart.

Several students will be able to participate in the track, who will be selected by the leadership of the master's program. To participate, undergraduates must have high marks, actively participate in projects with partners of the master's program, and demonstrate high quality research work. They also need to be fluent in English. Students are selected in the middle of the first academic year (exact dates and selection criteria will be sent out later).
