Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course provides a general introduction to the fields of law relevant to Arts, Culture, and Creative Industries (ACCI). It aims to place the law in the context of ACCI and outline the related legal objectives. The focus is on the concept of intellectual property, its legislation, and underlying principles. The course also offers a brief overview of the Russian legal system, fundamentals of contract law, and the main aspects of governance in ACCI. These include various types of cooperation between legal entities, as well as exhibition activities and the use of AI in cultural activities. Students will become familiar with appropriate legal principles, terminology, and concepts, which will be especially useful for those intending to pursue a career in ACCI.
