'University is a Community of Both Current and Future Professionals': How HSE Orientation Week Went
HSE Orientation Week came to an end. It was organised by the Career Centre and the Alumni Community. Within a week, there were 12 meetings at HSE University-St Petersburg in which 40 alumni of the campus and 350 first-years took part. HSE University-St Petersburg invites its students and other guests to HSE SPb Day—the brightest holiday of this autumn. Participants will have a chance to meet student organisations of HSE University-St Petersburg, attend a theatre workshop, play a live chess game, listen to the lectures about the youth and enjoy the tracks by DJ Feel, which put everyone in a good mood.

HSE University is one of the best Russian universities (4th place) and consistently ranks among the top 150 best universities in the world (142nd place) according to the Three University Missions world ranking that has been published since 2017.

HSE University has improved its positions in the Shanghai Ranking (ARWU) thanks to continued improvement in several indicators. For the second year in a row, HSE has ranked 4th or 5th among Russian universities, while globally, it has improved its rank to now being in the 601–700 group.

Evgeny Akulov and Evgeniya Zubko, graduates of the Bachelor's programme 'Political Science and World Politics', took part in the World Universities Debating Championships Belgrade 2022.
