On July 3, the concert and sports complex 'Arena' hosted one of the main events of the year—the graduation ceremony of HSE University-St Petersburg. It gathered more than 4,000 guests: graduates, their friends and families, professors, mentors, and representatives of the university's industrial partners. The ViSaver project—a service for instant in-video search, generating time codes, summaries, and test questions based on video content—made it into the top ten of the ‘I Create Business’ competition track at this year's StudFest International Student Entrepreneurship Festival. Anastasia Semenova, founder of ViSaver and graduate of HSE University’s St Petersburg School of Economics and Management, spoke to the HSE News Service about the project.

On June 30, HSE University-St Petersburg gathered almost 5000 guests at KSK 'Arena' for the main event of this summer—graduation 2024. Bachelor's and master's students were congratulated by their friends and family, professors and faculty deans as well as HSE University-St Petersburg trustees. The diplomas of HSE University-St Petersburg were awarded to more than 1400 people, and 280 of them received the diplomas with honours. Mikhail Grechishnikov enrolled in the Master's programme 'Comparative Politics of Eurasia' right after graduating from the Bachelor's programme 'Asian and African Studies' at HSE University-St Petersburg. The master's degree gave him a lot of opportunities: Mikhail made new acquaintances, studied important subjects such as data analytics, decided on the sphere he would like to work in, and started his career in the Government Relations Department at Megafon. HSE Orientation Week came to an end. It was organised by the Career Centre and the Alumni Community. Within a week, there were 12 meetings at HSE University-St Petersburg in which 40 alumni of the campus and 350 first-years took part. Evgeny Akulov and Evgeniya Zubko, graduates of the Bachelor's programme 'Political Science and World Politics', took part in the World Universities Debating Championships Belgrade 2022. They qualified for the playoffs and were ranked among the top 10 teams in the category 'English as a Foreign Language'.

On July 1, more than 1,500 newly qualified bachelor’s and master’s graduates of HSE University-St Petersburg celebrated with their mentors at the campus’s traditional joint graduation ceremony. The event was an especially major personal event for one graduate, who received a marriage proposal during the ceremony.

March 15 is the deadline for nominating candidates for the HSE Alumni Awards, which are given to outstanding alumni of HSE University. This year, the awards will be given in ten categories.
