The Rope Shop building hosted more than 30 lectures in the key areas of education, science and creative industries. An extensive educational programme, prepared by leaders from the academic communities of Brazil, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, Mexico, India, and other countries, allowed students to immerse themselves in the practices of global knowledge without leaving their university.

The International Partners' Week at HSE University-St Petersburg united more than 100 representatives of leading universities from 23 countries. At the Rope Shop building, the International Partners' Week featured the opening ceremony of the student exhibition of the international posters contest winners and finalists organised by the HSE University-St Petersburg School of Art and Design together with the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (Indonesia). Designers and illustrators from two countries created alternative posters for Russian and Indonesian films.

In the framework of the academic mission to Latin America, the delegation from HSE University-St Petersburg headed by director Anna Tyshetskaya visited several universities in Mexico. During this trip, HSE signed cooperation agreements with two leading universities: Panamerican University and Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP).

The delegation from Malaysia headed by Zambry Abdul Kadir, the Minister of Higher Education, visited HSE University-St Petersburg on October 10. In early September 2024, Anastasia Usyk, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Programme in Asian and African Studies at HSE University in St Petersburg, participated in the final round of the ‘Chinese Bridge’ International Language Competition in Beijing, where she won the first prize in online voting and received the Audience Award and the Award for Most Outstanding Performance. On September 23, the Second Expedition to the Himalayas to Start
Pretty soon, HSE University-St Petersburg will go on the second expedition to the Himalayas organised together with the University of Delhi. This time, researchers will visit the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh which is known for more severe weather conditions at this time of the year. Together with colleagues from the Indian university, they will continue to study how the local communities adapt to ecological and climatic changes, focusing on the sociological aspect of the research.
HSE University-St Petersburg Presents Track on Latin America at Festival in 'Sevkabel Port'
On July 13, HSE University-St Petersburg participated in the festival of Latin American countries in 'Sevkabel Port' covering the history, culture and traditions of the region. The festival gathered 12 heads and representatives of diplomatic institutions of the Latin American countries in Russia and citizens of St Petersburg. HSE University-St Petersburg presented the interdisciplinary track on Latin America. It unites courses of three educational Bachelor's programmes in Political Science, Economics and Media Communications. The regional track will become a new stage of cooperation between HSE University and Latin America.
