Start Your Research
You are about to embark on a very interesting quest for getting your research in applied linguistics (AL) done and published. We assume that you are an aspiring researcher who is eager to start. First of all, we suggest reading about responsibilities of an AL researcher.

As Hatch and Lazarthon define in The Research Manual: Design and Statistics for Applied Linguistics, research is 'the orginized, systematic search for answers to the questions we ask'. Here is another video on developing your research question.
