First International Full-Time Application Round Results Drawn Up

On February the 20-th, 2017 the HSE – Saint Petersburg Selection Committee completed the review of applications submitted by the international applicants within the first application round.

More than 250 applications from 44 countries were submitted within the first round. The largest number of applications, the same as last year, came from the CIS (the Commonwealth of Independent States) and Baltic countries. A solid number of applications is received from Africa and the Middle East, as well as from such countries as Australia, Brazil, United Kingdom, Vietnam, Bulgaria, Ireland, Italy, China, Mongolia, Norway, India, Indonesia and Turkey.

The most popular undergraduate programmes in the first application round traditionally have become Bachelor in Management, the ACCA-accredited Bachelor in Economics, Bachelor in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Bachelor in Jurisprudence. The ultimate leader in terms of the number of applications among the graduate programs is our flagship international Master in Finance programme, English-taught and ACCA-accredited. A large number of applications were received by the two other English-taught Master's programmes – Master in Comparative Politics of Eurasia and Master in Applied and Interdisciplinary History ‘Usable Past’, the latter currently being the most international programme by the nationality mix of the class.

The Selection Committee’s decision on each application has been published in the Applicant’s Personal Accounts. Within few next days all applicants nominated for the HSE Gold Scholarships (quota) or accepted to self-funded (tuition fee) places after the first application round - as well as winners of the HSE’s International Youth Olympiad who applied properly – will receive an email from International Admissions with further instructions. These instructions are also available on our International Admissions -> For Accepted Applicants website.

NB! Some programmes have awarded all HSE Gold Scholarships (quotas) allocated for 2017 within the first application round. Within the second and third application rounds, only applications to self-funded (tuition fee) places will be considered for the following programmes as below:

Subject to the entrance exams score (undergraduate programmes) or application review (graduate programmes), successful applicants to self-funded places can be awarded with the HSE Top Applicant Scholarship providing a discount off tuition fee.

HSE Gold Scholarships (quotas) are still available at the other programmes, now becoming even more competitive to receive.

Details of admission requirements, application terms and procedures, scholarships and discounts are available on the International Admissions website as well as on the websites of programmes, section “For Applicants – How to Apply?”.
