2026 Winter School at MDI Gurgaon. An exclusive opportunity for students of the Master's Program "International Business in the Asia-Pacific Region"

We are delighted to invite students of the Master's Program "International Business in the Asia-Pacific Region" to join the exclusive Winter School 2026 at Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon, one of the top business schools in India, ranked among the Top 50 in Asia(QS Global MBA 2025) and Top 100 worldwide (Financial Times 2024–2025 rankings).

This short-term academic and cultural immersion offers a unique opportunity to experience India’s vibrant business environment, world-class education, and cultural diversity.

Dates: February 2-13, 2026, the full Winter School program includes 2 weeks, taking into account the educational program at the university and visits to the city's enterprises.
Location: Management Development Institute, Gurgaon (30 km from New Delhi), India

Courses Offered:

1. Doing Business in India: Navigating Opportunity, Culture & Complexity (January 5–9 / February 2–6)
   Learn about India’s dynamic business environment, cultural nuances, and global investment opportunities. Includes company visits and expert sessions.
2. Artificial Intelligence for Business: Technology & Innovation (January 12–16 / February 9–13)
   Gain a practical understanding of the application of artificial intelligence and generative AI in business.

Each course: 30 hours | 3 ECTS credits | 100% English

Students may choose one or both courses.

The business part of the program includes visits to leading enterprises in India:

• Maruti Suzuki India

  we will find out how India's largest automaker shapes the market, what approaches it implements to mass production, distribution and adaptation to local conditions.

• Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India (HMSI)

  one of the largest companies in the two-wheeled transport market. We will learn how global standards of quality and innovation are combined with local peculiarities. A great opportunity to analyze international market entry strategies and manage foreign assets.

• Hero Motocorp

  the leader of the Indian two-wheeled vehicle market. Let's find out how the company, which originated in India, became a global player. For future entrepreneurs– this is a story about how to create and develop a national brand to a global level.

• HCL Tech / Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)

  we will find ourselves at the center of the global IT revolution! We will hear firsthand how these Indian IT giants have become key suppliers of technology solutions to companies around the world. Let's talk about outsourcing management, innovative approaches to software development, and digital transformation development strategies.

Part 2: Two Week Program

Accommodation:

• On-campus: €300 per week for a single room; €150 per week for a double room;
• Alternative nearby hotels (costs may vary).

Excludes: Air travel, visa fees, insurance, airport transfer, and personal expenses.

 

Travel and Visa Information

Please note that all participants must apply for a tourist visa to India.

To travel to India, Russian citizens need a visa, which can be issued both in electronic format (e-Visa) and in the usual printed version through the consulate (for the HSE group, organizational assistance in obtaining a visa will be provided directly at the consulate).

The flight will be conducted in an organized group; the recommended flight route is St. Petersburg - Moscow – Delhi.

There is a shared shuttle service to the campus from the airport in Delhi. The approximate cost of total transportation costs – 80.000 Rub.

Important:

The program will be exclusive to students of the Master's Program "International Business in the Asia-Pacific Region". However, should we not reach the minimum required participants, the program will be open to a broader student group.

Acceptance & registration	Acceptance letter and registration on the Study in India Portal are handled by the MDI Gurgaon Team. ​
Arrival on campus	Arrival on campus is one day prior to the program start, i.e. 1 February 2026. ​
Arrival/departure transport	Airport to campus and return transport is provided by MDI Gurgaon bus or taxi. ​
Student and faculty accommodation	Students and accompanying faculty will be settled in their designated rooms on a twin-sharing/single room basis. ​
Dining arrangements	Dining will be on campus and details will be communicated on arrival (breakfast, lunch and dinner). ​
Industry visit	Industry visit from campus to company and back, with transport arranged by the MDI Gurgaon Team. ​
Cultural visit	Cultural visit from campus to heritage sites, with transport, tickets and refreshments arranged by the MDI Gurgaon Team. ​
Departure from campus	Departure from campus is one day after the program valedictory, i.e. 14 February 2026. ​
Free day expenses	Students will bear their own expenses on the free day or during self-exploratory city tours. ​
Extra stay cost	Students wishing to stay more than one day before/after the program will pay an additional 70 Euros per day. ​
