Faberge Museum - Guided Tour and Students' Experience
In the 2020 academic year, our students had the opportunity to visit cultural organizations and attend several excursions, where they are presented with the managerial review of cultural institutions in St. Petersburg. All activities are unique and organized specifically for our students.
One of the exhibitions was trips to the Faberge Museum that were held at the beginning of November 2020. Our students were introduced to the secret parts of the museum. Moreover, this is the beginning of the cooperation of our program with one of the biggest private museums in Saint Petersburg. As mentioned before, some of our classes differed from others in their format - instead of classical work in classrooms, students explored the interesting places of the city, watched its life, and discovered new facets of St. Petersburg.
As part of the exhibition, the students got acquainted with the history of the appearance of the Faberge eggs, the history of the royal family of the Russian Empire, the peculiarities of the Faberge eggs, and the work and life of Karl Faberge. Each minute passed during the tours was filled with amazing stories, new knowledge, and a warm atmosphere. This unusual approach to classes allowed the students to explore more deeply into the art history of Saint Petersburg, gain valuable knowledge, as well as get to know each other and the peculiarities of the program they are studying in.
